The LWRDPC has partnered with our local LWR Community Activities organizers to photograph various community events throughout the year. This service helps to provide top quality photographs to promote LWR as well as give our club members an opportunity to learn new photo skills. Don’t be surprised to see our members in and around the community helping to document what a wonderful place we live!

The Missing In America Project

MIA For LWRDPC Web-1LWRDPC members, Stacy White and Mindy Towns, volunteered their photo services as The Missing in America Project laid to rest seven military veterans and four military wives at the Sarasota National Cemetery. The non-profit group locates unclaimed remains of military veterans and gives them a proper military funeral. Club members Vic Oulette and his wife Lynn are volunteers with the program and instrumental in giving our American heros a final resting place.

Picture Them Adopted – HeARTs Speak

Club member Stacy White has been an official photographer for both Picture Them Adopted and HeARTs Speak for nearly two years. Stacy volunteers her photography skills one morning a month to take professional photographs at the Manatee Animal Shelter. Her photos are instrumental is helping dogs and cats find new forever homes.

HeARTs Speak is an international, non-profit organization that – through collaboration with artists, photographers, graphic designers and writers – helps raise the visibility of shelter or rescue animals.

Picture Them Adopted is a group of volunteer photographers and dog handlers that donate their time at the Manatee County Animal Services facilities taking quality photos of the animals, showcasing their true personalities in the hope of increasing their chance of adoption.

Lakewood Ranch is a terrific community. Our photography club members are happy to be show that  through their photographs. The LWRDPC has partnered with Lakewood Ranch Community Activities.
